TASK 4 – Evaluation !
All my images relate to a young age and probably to the female gender as the images are quite girlie. The images are to reflect to a younger person as they are about beauty and the different sides that a person has, and that however you different you are you are beautiful. For example the image where the face is to the side of image against the mirror, shows a dark and light side of the girl. I wanted it to represent that everyone is human and has there flaws. Young girls never believe they are beautiful and i would love these images to show and represent a campaign for young beauty.
Another example of this is the image where you can see the same face 3 times, all looking upwards, showing the way that young people look in the mirror they see many different flaws and the difficulties a young person has to go through.
The reason that i think these images will relate well with younger girls instead of an older generation is because they are showing beauty is skin deep. And that even with sweets covering your face any feature is a gorgeous feature. I think the image would be a good campaign and advertisment. A good advertisement for make up brands such as rimmel or boujour, as they are always referring to there lip gloss as sweet beauty. A good front cover beauty page for magazine.
My work i very bright and young, very much like pop art like Andy Warhol, my work looks like something from the 60s,70s80s. the time of energy and freedom no rules just fun. The images speak for themselves and tell different stories to the different people looking at them. For example if your a young socila light you would hang it up in your room look at the flaws of the young girls maybe even want to try sweets on your face.
There show a story of romance passion for some people, or a deeper meaning for the older generation. READING MORE INTO THE IMAGE.
These images would not really be for the male sex unless for lusting over the beautiful girls in the images.
My weakness and stenths in photoshop and all over photography.
I also learnt how to use photo shop, through im hardly an expert i learnt a few things that can help make my images better. i learnt to trim, change colour and extract certain parts of the image. I am still learning to use it and it is definitely a weak point.
= ME starting to extract a certain part of the image, the part i most wanted.
= the finishing product, not so good, need to learn hoe to sharpen and clean up images.
= trying to change to black and white and get the correct exposure. Anothe thing to get correct.
= beginning to crop image.
= finish product of cropping, actually not to bad.
Through the 3 months that we worked on this task i have gained a better knowledge and a gained a better technical knowledge and ablitie. Through the months my knowledge of lighting has gone up many levels from understanding simple spotlighting to full on knowledge of key lighting and how it effects the mood of the image.
I also have gained a better understanding of shutter speed and ISO to enable me to produce more images of a professional level. I was able to show this though out task 1 ,2 and 3. I wen from minor knowledge to knowledge in a category that has many different levels and advanced skills that i am starting to understand. Which can help produce and create brilliant images.
My creativity has also become stronger thought my ablitie to research photographers before jumping and attempting to straight away take images. THIS enabled me to have a clear and precise idea, my sweet idea. This is from looking and finding Joesph Cartwrite . Doing this made me feel more confident im the images that i was creating.
I also learnt that creativity is just to come and flow and not to think to much not . I learned to play with my images and not to hold back.
I believe my time management was good. I do believe that 3 months was not enough time for the amount of work that we had to do. IT was a struggle to keep to the time given but i did and over all i think my time managment was good. My stentgh are my ablitie to understand how a camera works which is a good advantage and a negative is photshop.
To end i learnt words like Perspective, Abstraction, Composition, Depth-of-field, Lens Flare, Spatial, abstract.
